IPSecuritas is a front-end of the Mac OS X IPSec subsystem built in the kernel and allows to configure and establish secure IP tunnels between your machine or network with a remote network (for example your office network) using the non-secure services offered by the Internet. IPSec is a well-defined and established IETF standard and is considered secure (as opposed to for example P2TP, which offers limited security).

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />IPSecuritas - is fantastic. I used version 3.1, then used the beta versions of 3.2 last year. I've used it successfully connect to various Netgear VPN's FVG114P, FVS318, FVG318, FVS338. The developer is very responsive. I'd recommend donating to help with the development - given what VPN tracker costs.
Works great, connects to Fortinet 60 gateway

Since 3.0b5 will expire after a certain time (a month or so), the update to 3.0b6 becomes a necessity. Or is there a workaround for the expiration?
No login/password authentication, no NAT-T. Better...

It's unusable for me as I need login/password authentication. NAT-Traversal is also important for me while travelling (hotel rooms, public hot spots etc.). I suggest using VPN Tracker when you are seriously relying on VPN connectivity for business purposes. Using VPN Tracker I was able to setup the connection to our SonicWALL firewall in <5 minutes whereas with IPsecuritas I needed 10 minutes just to realize that it doesn't offer login/password authentication.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Great stuff thank You, it works perfectly well with all ZyWall's i tried (Models 1, 2, 5, 100) and even opens multiple VPN tunnels to different sites at the same time. And if you compare it to many of this commercial bull**** we are happy to get this simple luxury for free - kudos & thanx again.
