InstaPhoto HD for Instagram for Android

InstaLomo HD for Instagram isn't a bad photo editor by any means, but it doesn't have enough filters or features to beat out countless other options. It's prone to glitches and slower performance, as well. There's just not much here to pull you away from your current photo filtering app of choice.

Though this app references Instagram, it's not connected to it at all. This means that while you don't have to log in, you don't get any of the polished Instagram features, either. Instead, you'll get a handful of Instagram-esque photo filters that you can slap onto any photo you already have on your phone or any picture you take. The app has its own built-in camera, but it doesn't offer any exclusive features that Android's camera doesn't already have. Once you take the photo, InstaLomo HD for Instagram takes you to its editing board where you can add filters, but can't do much else. The app's "Gallery" section claims to have advanced settings as well as a "top girls" section, but neither came up after multiple taps when we tested the app. What did pop up were ads whenever we tried to touch just about anything in the app.

It's tough to argue for an app that combines that many ads with a relative lack of features. InstaLomo HD for Instagram might live up to the app it harkens to if it added more cropping features or some bonus filters. Until then, there isn't much here that you can't find in a more polished package elsewhere.
