Great simple, basic, tool.

Pros
Simple, basic, fast, and easy to understand. No layering or other time-consuming steps. Perfect for quick eBay-type photo editing so that you don't have to show the world your kitchen counter in addition to whatever you're selling!
Cons
Not for the artistically geared, but not everyone is trying to create art.
Summary
A simple tool for those of us that don't have PhotoShop and/or don't have the time or patience to deal with layers, etc., in it or most other photo-editing programs that have removal capabilities. If anyone is looking for something fast and simple, without grandiose artistic goals, to edit photos for basic ebay type uses, I would like to suggest trying InstantMask Pro 2.7 (or one of their other InstantMask versions). You just open the image, take the green "crayon" and scribble a little on the item in the image you want to keep, then take the red "crayon" and scribble a little on the background that you want gone, and hit the "preview" icon. From there you can use their foreground and background tools to clean up/fill in any mistakes, then choose what background you want (color, transparent, etc) and hit save. There you go in under 5 minutes! This is a terrific basic tool for people that have lots of pictures that they want to quickly remove the backgrounds from.

Nothing to like about this product.
Cons
I tried it with a notebook on a white background. The result was far worse than just using Photoshop's Magic Wand.
