Editors’ Review
With Instantbird for Mac, users can easily enter log-in information for a number of popular messaging accounts, which allows them to track conversations, feeds, and programs quickly, all in an interface that is not overly complicated.
After installing, the program's first menu allows the user to select the messaging program. Options are available for the popular applications, including Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, and AIM. Once one is chosen, Instantbird for Mac allows the user to enter and save log-in information for instant connections. After signing in, a screen lists all accounts that have been set up, and each is laid out clearly with an accompanying graphic. An additional button along the bottom allows the user to enter new accounts, as needed. Once signed in, the program places a window on the right side of the screen that takes up almost all of the vertical length. This lists all of the user's available connections for chatting, and allows the user to change their chat status. It is easy to distinguish accounts because the program allows them to be labeled by clear aliases. The chat windows also display well, and are easy to use for those familiar with native chat screens.
Instantbird for Mac keeps all of your IM services available in one place, making it a suitable download for those who have a number of chat accounts and want to easily manage and use them from one easy-to-use app.
