My Indy have developed the IndyGo App to truly empower the partially sighted and blind user with a level of Independence that gives enhanced Navigation features alongside a User Interface that is intuitive and leads to the App becoming a trusted companion to the user. The Navigation function enables Realtime Public Transport information to be delivered to the device, using Audible and Vibrate alerts to communicate with the user as to nearby buses and trains, also to update along the journey with information and alerts as the intended stop approaches, giving the user increased confidence to use public transport. The App also provides realtime local information based on GPS coverage, bringing a new level of engagement with the user.

The App is designed to complement and not replace the existing navigation aids for the user and bring a level of accessibility and confidence when travelling that brings the user closer to the world around them.

Voice and Gesture User Interface - Allows user to interact with device by spoken word and gestures/swipes for

Point of Interest Navigation - IndyGo will announce POI along route and allow user to navigate to specific POI on route.

Clock Navigation - To enable greater navigation assistance to the visually impaired user, IndyGo has

the option of 'clock navigation' giving instructions such as 'please turn 3oclock' as opposed to turning east/right for greater accessibility.

The Spoken Word -

IndyGo also has the capability to translate written content from online media such as journals, online newspapers and websites into full Audible content. Becoming an invaluable companion, bringing written content to life and connecting the user to the wider online community as well as the local area.
