Editors’ Review
iMagic Timetable Master offers to help users get organized with their class schedules. With an intuitive flow and simple commands, most users will find that this a helpful way to be prepared for their classes.
The program starts off with a simple scheduling wizard that sets the parameters of your school schedule. From there, the schedule is laid out in blocks and adding information is slightly confusing, but not impossible to master after a few minutes of experimenting and a visit to the Help file. Users first fill out a menu along the side to showcase teachers and tutors, classes, and classrooms. Once this list is populated, they are applied to specific days and times. In addition, there are colored blocks to signify lunch, a break, or simply being unavailable. These blocks are important when the AutoFill option is utilized. Here, a few simple scheduling and class questions allow users to instantly populate their schedule with appropriate classes, saving a lot of manual input. The program was fairly light on special features, preferring to focus on scheduling. Users will find options to run a simple capacity report to look at how busy their overall schedule is, which will be useful. One negative was that we could not find a way to publish our schedule to a Web site like the description claimed.
The trial period only permits you to 10 uses, but overall, thanks to its simple focus and great scheduling wizard, this program is a great product for students struggling to stay organized.
