ImageBeagle for Windows

This curiously named program mostly lives up to its promise by scanning and removing pornographic images from your PC. Since it really only handles one job, ImageBeagle is both easy to configure and a snap to use, letting you specify which drives or system areas to scour before going to work.

After loading our test machine with a bevy of racy shots, we scanned our computer and got generally positive results. Although the program gave us a few erroneous findings and didn't locate several black-and-white pornographic shots, it sniffed out the majority of smut on our machine. We tested ImageBeagle using its normal sensitivity settings, but both high and low modes are available for those who want more or less protection. Once the program has scanned your machine, you can choose to sift through the results and quarantine any objectionable content.

Even though this application might not be foolproof, it makes a good line of defense for both concerned parents and system administrators.
