If you re looking to cut down on IM hassle, this freebie makes a pretty compelling option. Similar to programs such as Trillian, this program lets you access your ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and IRC accounts from one elegant blue interface. You just sign into different accounts with your username and password, and all your contacts will appear in the main window. IM2 operates like most other chat clients we ve seen, with features that allow you to disable logging, add emoticons, or attach files. Video and VoIP communication options are available, but unfortunately, they only work with users who also have IM2 installed. Like other programs in this class, you can enable this one to alert you when you have new e-mail. We can recommend IM2 to anyone who runs multiple chat programs and needs to consolidate.
It could not even connect to msn. I uninstalled it with Revo, and that was a catastrophe. I had to restore the system because it erased great deal of my reg.
Summary
I rarelly write reviews, but this time I felt like it was necessary to do it.
Doesn't work with Windows 7 (64-bit)
spartain
Pros
None that I can tell because it didn't work in my operating system.
Cons
Not compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit).
Summary
Installation went okay. I then chose to add a Yahoo account via the wizard. That went okay. Then after the wizard cended I launched the program, and that's where it faltered. The interface came into view with my account name visible, and then an alert box: 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Buffer overrun detected! ' the alert went on to advise that the buffer overrun has "corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated."
Update urgently required.
Horrid interface
Alec_C
Pros
Connects to a decent number of messaging protocols
Cons
Looks horrid IMO
Couldn't figure out how to sign in to my accounts (maybe I'm being dumb, but this should be REALLY REALLY intuitive)
Summary
There are plenty of other better messaging clients out there. I prefer Digsby and Pidgin for multi-protocol clients and Windows Live Messenger for MSN. Skip this piece of junk.
NICE interface. BAD connections
TigrrrTamer
Pros
The interface looks nice. Somewhat familiar to Pidgin users... makes me wonder. Nice minimalistic approach. Everything is well organized.
Cons
It doesn't work. Will connect and then you are thrown out again, from MSN and Yahoo and ICQ. ICQ reports obsolete chat client version, while the other networks just disconnect you. Isn't good!

ERROR MESSAGE: PROTOCOL VERSION NOT SUPPORTED BY OUR SERVERS.
WHY DON'T THEY UPDATE THEIR PROTOCOLS TO WORK WITH MSN AND YAHOO? Like all the other chat clients?
If development is dead, then remove it from downloads!
Nice looking and free but
alanat
Pros
Nice interface, no spyware.Free. Works ok but very buggy from time to time. Still I prefer this over Trillian
Cons
Website does not work and the skins page is down. New version 2.0 cannot be downloaded nor new skins. Is the company still there.
Summary
Average program. Unprofessional company
stefan0325
Pros
Combines all messengers. Free
Cons
Have not been able to download the application from IM2s website for the last 4 days. The link to their forum also does not work. Have e-mailed several times, no response, still not fixed. This gives a very unprofessional image.

To use videochat other party must also have IM@, cannot videochat with MSN, Yahoo members.
Summary
Almost good
DannyPC
Pros
Well, it is very customizable, the interface has a pleseant feel to it, and i like the way it handles multiple accounts.
Cons
they just need to clean the code of it up. it keeps crashing for bogus reasons, or for no reason at all, and this is on a brand new system with a fresh install of xp pro. even the spyware that killed my old system didn't crash as much as this thing does. if they could just get those huge bugs out of it, this would be a great app. until then, i would avoid it like salmonela from a platypus who can't spell.
Summary
Highly unrecommendable!
vig04_117
Pros
Has no adwares/spywares...Thats all!
Cons
This works the first time when u install this and then it slows down on the very second time..Highly unstable...And u can not put smileys in ur messages as the moment u click on the icon, it freezes ur whole comp.

Needs quite a lot of improvment!!
Summary
Good attempt, but buggy as hell.
CableguyTK
Pros
Its free.

Another alternative to GAIM and Trillian in the department of multinetwork chat clients.

Skinnable.

Very customizable.

Not a resource hog.
Cons
Buggy as hell.

Lacks a lot of features you can find not only in the official clients, but GAIM and Trillian.

Requires a LOT of time and patience to setup the program to your liking.
Summary
It's not Trillian, but gets the job done.

Pros
IM2 is very easy to use and configure. It saved me from downloading AIM, YIM, and MSN to my computer making me save space. It has nice look and you can download new skins for it. It also gives you the power of tabbed IMing.
Cons
I wish that each protocol had it's own seperate window, instead of them having them all in one window. You can't download skins for the current version yet. I want to get a new skin, but it's taking way too long!
