IcyBlaze iDocument is the latest created smart Mac document and PDF management application; it provides the easiest and coolest way to manage documents on mac, and it is the a excellent Mac PDF manager. It is designed for Mac users to manage documents like PDF, business files, assignments, eBooks, presentation slides, etc. To manage documents on mac, it was built to supports all popular formats, for example: PDF, keynotes, Powerpoint, Doc, XLS, OpenOffice, NeoOfice, etc. Its built-in automatic organizing system can easily help you to manage, search, share and present your docs and files in the integrated mac documents management software. And to create a smart auto management application, iDocument has its build in auto import, smart tag and auto batch process systems. To sum up, it's a multi-function mac documents management software with super cutting edge user experience design, just like 'iPhoto' for pictures, 'iTunes' for video and movie.
I thought the idea was a great way to organize documents. It worked for a time...... and I thought it was great .... however....
Cons
After a period of time, the app simply froze.... it would open but became frozen.... with no ability to function. Deleting and reinstallation did nothing. It's too bad. However, there are some alternatives out there that work.....

Why hide document metadata from OS Finder?
Grant2012
Pros
The interface looks good.
Cons
You documents are concealed from the OS's Finder.
You are forced to dump all documents in the app.
You cannot point the app to a folder.
Summary
The app tries to work a little like iphoto where you deposit your photos inside the library. The problem is that document apps (like Word, Pages, Preview) will create a file in a folder in Finder: it won't put it in iDocument's proprietary file extension by default. You have to save the file in the iDocument target file or drag the document into the library.
I don't see the sense to have documents reduced to a single proprietary file extension whom Finder cannot search.
great idea wish it worked

Pros
Not sure yet
Cons
Cannot enter data. idocument crashes every time
Summary
Not sure what the problem is but this definitely is not working for me. I Have just written tech support for help, but they won't have had time to respond yet. I'm hoping they can help me get it working.
Nice idea, but unstable interface and weak features
burkanov
Pros
- fast
- good tagging
- stable enough
Cons
- buggy interface (though, not buggier, than other similar soft!)
- bad support: features are being promoted with lots of marketing bla-bla, but where are they? How to use, for example, much promoted "Dropbox integration"?
- not really rich in features
Summary
iDocument is currently the best software for "paperless office"
Needs improvement

iDocument does not work on my Mac Pro Desktop
eweissen42
Pros
Since it does not work on my Mac I can not really give a positive rating to this software.
Cons
Does not work on my Mac
Summary
I have gone back and forth with the iDocument staff but nothing has been resolved with regard to why most versions of their program will not work on my machine. I am in the process of trying other file programs to replace iDocument.
I really love the new iDocument. it's the smartest DMS!

Not really for much, but waiting for the iPhone and iPad version.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This is much better quality compared to YEP 2.0.9. Its easier to use and much easier to manage your documents. It sorts and stores everything in a library (a package file). The library is very easy to backup and restore.
I have not tried its document sharing functionality but its very fine for a single user/home document manager.
Best document manager!
