  There is a few pros but I can't really think of any.

  I'm not sure if this will do this to you but it keeps asking me to update and when i press update it it fails really annoying! plus it picks up everyone in the room!

  Summary

  Contains adware no matter what you don't want installed yes it's bundled. CNET/Download.com used to display on it's home page No Adware, No Spyware, or Viruses. The mighty dollar sure done away with that statement. Make sure when you download and install from CNET/Download.com you scan your computer. I'm putting this review on the other HyperCam Download it to contains Adware. Thanks for nothing CNET/Download.com Sell Out.

• Great app, but installer pushes new homepage & toolbar

  Pros

  Super easy to use, once you read the instructions. Just start the program and then thereafter, pressing F2 starts recording video in the pre-designated area.

  Cons

  Installer requires online connectivity. Some of the hot-keys are not very intuitive. (F2 to start/stop vid capture, F3 to pause) I tried installing while their server was down and it made the installer freeze. Otherwise, installing was quick & easy. Installer tries to install browser bar and take over your home page by default

  Summary

  I installed this software on three computers. 1st time, no problem. 2nd time, I forgot to de-select the adware and had to re-select my home page and uninstall the browser toolbar. 3rd time, their server was down, so the installer froze. Went back later and all is good. The app, itself, works very well, but takes a little getting used to, so read the instructions. Otherwise, it's a great program!

  No problems.If 64 bit version is not working install 32 bit same version gives best results on win 7 64 bit.In the progm.file there appears to be no mention of 64 or 32 bit.I have done the same thing.

• Easy to record a selected region; toolbar is optional.

  Pros

  Some seconds after installation i was already capturing a selected region successfully. Works great on Windows 7 64 bit.

  Cons

  Saves only on avi format. I would like to have more and better video compressors for the avi format, like for example xvid or, better, h.264. Not adequate for full screen (mouse) action record since wmv is better for that purpose.

So if you don't know or don't want to add new video compressors, you should have a video converter to compress video later, like i do. There are free video converters available. On the other hand, if you (want to) install divx on windows 7 64-bit, then you should install HyperVam 32-bit setup, since it also works on Windows 7 64-bit, and the divx codec is available among HyperCam 32-bit video compressors choices (something that doesn't happen with HyperCam 64-bit).<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jun 2, 2011<p/>Erratum: always HyperCam (and not HyperVam)<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jun 2, 2011<p/>On the other hand, using divx video compressor to capture video will require a fast processor...

  Pros

  You can select what part of the desktop you want to record, It's FREE, and well, it works just fine.

  Cons

  When installing, it wanted me to install a browser toolbar, BUT it gave me a chose not to install it. so i never had any problems with any of my browsers

  Summary

  I would recomment HyperCam to anybody who wants a light, easy to use, recorder.
