After spending one hour with apple support, they inform me that the new 3.3 driver from HP does not work correctly with my new MacBook Pro. Have downloaded (no problem finding it on HPs website) and re-installed and still no joy. Does anyone know of an alternative driver that will do the job?
Uninstaller doesn't uninstall. Driver still not...

Auto-On not working...

My Deskjet 5850 will not auto turn on to print a job with this driver. Reverted back to version 2.3.1 which appears to work perfectly! HP definately needs to fix this!

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I have a 5150 that it worked fine on using 2.4. Now with 2.5 I always get the "printer is not on" error message. I followed the directions when I installed and deleted the old printer first, too. Stick with 2.4 if it's working for you
Auto-on broken in 2.5?

With older versions of the HP driver, I could wake and print to the Deskjet 5550 connected to an AirPort Extreme base station. Now I get a "Printer is turned off" error and I must go and turn the printer on manually-what a pain! Please, HP-fix this ASAP.
