  I agree with the first poster (chaz...). Sometimes I would paste text into my Yahoo webmail and the formatting would appear when I usually did not want it to. Like Chaz said I would paste it into a text based app like notepad or paste it into the subject line which only accepts text and paste it back unformatted. Same thing with Excel. I usually would want to copy and paste the text with no formatting and this app works well for that. I would think there are other utilities like clipboard utilities (which I have never used) that have more options but for this feature this works well. I

  Basically, this utility removes formatting from your clips. Copy something from Word thats bold and italic and this pastes it back in plain text. <p> <p>Thats all it does! All the top rated clipboards throw this in as an extra!

  Pros

  Quality work. Removes formatting, turns on/off on hot key, history on hot key, configurable, good documentation. I like the FireFox "Copy Plain Text" extension so much that I had to find something for windows. No more using notepad to copy and paste plain text!

  Cons

  A little bit of a learning curve, but well worth it!
