HotRecorder 4Voip allows you to record and add emotisounds (lively sound effects) to voice communications held over the Internet. HotRecorder 4Voip also includes voicemail for Skype and Google talk. HotRecorder 4Voip is an application that works in conjunction with Skype, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, Net2Phone, and FireFly without diminishing these applications functionalities.

The voicemail for Skype and Google talk feature includes, among other things, an e-mail alert that automatically sends you the voice mail file wherever you are in the world. The features of HotRecorder 4Voip include, but are not limited to, recording tools, adding emotisounds, filing, searching, sending via e-mail, or playing back your conversations and conference calls. The program also includes full compatibility and voicemail for Google Talk. Version 2.1.4 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

There are no Pros to buying this software. If you need a good software for recording skype use Evaer which is the same price. Or buy a different VOIP recorder.
Cons
This software is pure garbage, do not trust any software attached to the name Swiczar or Moises, Swiczar Moises, or Moises Swiczar. Research is showing that the software attached to these companies does not work properly Do not send any money to Hot Recorder or to easyvoiprecorder@gmail.com This company is in Argentina and has a very bad reputation.
Summary
A. Do not test this software! B. Do not buy this software! C. We bought Evaer and it is working fine.

Incoming audio plays back at about 1/16 speed, distorted, portions missing. Previously, the fix for this was to start HotRecorder prior to making a call. This solution no longer works.
Cons
Emails to the software publisher for support go unanswered. The email addresses on their web site no longer respond. Do not purchase this software.

Pros
User interface is simple - press the 'record' button. Of course after that, it doesn't work.
Cons
It recorded at 'slow' speed and the audio converter crashed so I lost two hours of recordings that I need to do my job. They do not respond when emailed. A complete failure.
Summary
Nice website, with huge hype about how great their product is and it's all a lie - no service, product doesn't work. Please do not waste your money on this one.

I'm at a loss. Doesn't work as promised.
Cons
Doesn't work (sound quality is unusable) and also doesn't convert to the desired formats - can only replay with the hotrecorder player. Seems to affect the running of skype and when I went to uninstall, AVG detected it contained a trojan horse.
Summary
Don't bother. Not worth it, even if it was free. I got rooked out of $15.

No pros at all.
Cons
The other person's conversation was slower than mine by a factor of 3, meaning that extensive editing was necessary to separate the channels, speed up their part and remix to listen again to the conversation. No matter what I did it never synched.
Summary
This software not only produces a terrible recording, but also crashes about 75% of the time when you try to save the recording at the end of a conversation. They have a recover function that failed to work on the last file that crashed during save and I cannot figure out how to open it or convert it (it's a .mg file). No one at Hotrecorder will answer my e-mails. They just collect their money and ignore you.

I installed the program under vista 32 bit. It left an icon in the system tray that doesn't do anything when you right click on it. Nothing happens! Futhermore, I tried opening the program from an icon on my desktop. I even tried running it in compatability mode of XP SP2 and then let it run as administrator. Still it does nothing. All this is is a waste of time and money. Do not buy it. This company should have the socks sued off of them. Maybe if the person who owns this has to live in the gutter or out in the woods with insects to eat they will appreciate having a loyal, happy customer base. A Scam company. I think I will report them to one of the appropriate federal agencies regarding their scam.

There are no pros. The product doesn't work. Apparently neither does support. I emailed them many times, but got no response whatsoever. I then requested a refund. No response.
Cons
If you have too much money and are looking to get rid of it with nothing in return, buy this product. Or increase your odds and go to a casino.

Shame on cnet for not filtering out programs such as this. It installs but does nothing. I am very suspicious of the software. Why would a company continue to distribute software that obviously does not work? It is also difficult to remove.
