Ah not so good.

offset tool
Cons
Trim features- cant trim to nearest intersect. Arc- Cant create a bunch of tangent arcs. cant highlight paths and then set relations. I am used to drawing in Solidworks and thought this would be a good plugin for illustrator. Not so good.
Summary
They need to step up their game and completely change the way we interface with AI. for now I will stick with Solidworks and will import dxf files to AI.
