Batch output, but not batch input

Pros
It appeared to have everything I wanted in one piece of software, namely resize, rename and convert. Formats for the latter include ico which I find handy for making my own icons.
Cons
I couldn't find a way to add a whole folder of images at a time for resizing or renaming. It appears you have to add each image one by one.
Summary
What is the point of a batch resizer or renamer if you can't load the images as a batch as well? In my opinion it is only doing half the job if you must add them individually. I very soon uninstalled it.
