HomeWAV is a mobile application designed for social networking between visitors and inmates. Available on iPhone, it allows users to create free accounts and manage their connections with inmates at various facilities. The application offers features such as viewing available funds, adding or transferring funds, and updating payment information. Users only pay for the minutes they use without being tied to any plans or packages, making it a flexible option for communication. Once logged in, visitors can receive notifications when an inmate is available for phone or video calls, as well as messages, depending on facility permissions. The app also facilitates the scheduling of onsite visits, where permitted, while remote video visitations do not require prior scheduling. A stable Wi-Fi connection and headset are recommended for optimal performance, although availability may vary by facility.

HomeWAV (Home Web Access Visitation) is a, cost effective, and innovative way to allow those incarcerated in Detention Facilities across the country to visit with their families and friends in a home environment without the hassle of traveling or setting up an appointment to visit the Inmate at the facility. Visitors who have fully registered and have been approved can log in using their chosen Username and Password. Once the Visitor is logged in they will see a list of Inmates they have added to their account. If the Visitor has purchased minutes for a specified Inmate this will allow them access to a video visit. Once the Inmate is logged on, the Visitor will see their name displayed with green text. The visit will begin if the call is accepted it allows the Visitor and the Inmate to have face to face conversation on their own time. For best results a headset is suggested.
