• A good basic budgeting software package.

  Pros

  Well, I've only been using the trial version for the past 2 hours, and I think it has everything I need in a budget software package.

  Cons

  I wish it showed you're overall account balance from checking, savings. You can only download purchases from your credit card accounts, and not checking etc.

  Summary

  It's useful and intuitive. I like the reporting features. I will use up the trial and probably purchase once I've reached the 75th transaction.

  Pros

  The ability to automatically import transactions from credit card statements saves me a lot of time and ensures that no expenses are missed. This program also allows the inclusion of both fixed and variable paychecks.

  Cons

  I haven't found any yet.

  Summary

  This product is easy-to-use and has really helped us to stay on track with our budgeting goals. It has also helped to practically eliminate all heated financial discussions with my spouse because we now both know exactly where our money is going. The first few months I used this product, I was just trying to get a handle on where our money was going. There is a report which tells you the average amount spent for each category (over whatever period of time you choose) which really helped us understand if our budgeting goals were realistic. The search features are especially helpful when trying to find a particular transaction. I also use the transaction comments to specify whether an item is a donation. When doing our taxes I just searched for all transactions in the last calendar year with "donation" in the notes. Very useful!
