This game checks your memory of names of NHL players. The installation takes only a second, and Hockey Hangman's small window features primitive but funny graphics. When you guess the correct letter, it shows up wherever it appears in the player's name. Every time you guess a letter that isn't in the player's name, a flying puck takes off part of the onscreen referee's body. After seven wrong guesses, the referee completely disappears, ending the game to the virtual boos of the crowd. Some names are a lot harder to guess than others, but hockey fans should enjoy this compact and easy-to-play amusement.
