Developer’s Description

Our goal was to design the ultimate user experience.

Our goal was to design the ultimate user experience. We started with a blank sheet of paper to redesign the way an electronic speed controller is programmed. The result is a beautiful app with a center wheel serving to control the POWER parameters of your ESC. These are the parameters which you regularly use to fine-tune the throttle and brake feeling, speed, acceleration and so on. There is a separate menu for the OPERATIONAL parameters which are the settings that you will only setup once a while.

Manage Setups

Each parameter can be set with a slider and +/- buttons. The setting is displayed in a graphical way in the respective sector of the wheel. Setups can be easily saved and applied to your HMX speed controllers. In the bottom bar you will find all your stored setups. Just drag and drop them onto the wheel to apply it to your connected speed controller.

Change Parametres

POWER parameters as well as OPERATIONAL parameters can easily be changed. All changes are saved immediately on your ESC (no need to save or load files, settings or whatsoever). You can also work "offline" on your setups and parameters, which means your ESC doesn't need to be connected to your app all the time. You can simply work on your setups while sitting on your sofa and later on test your newly created settings at the racing track.

Available Settings

The HMX speed controllers allow you to switch many advanced settings like: punch setting, tripple timing (two RPM based timing settings and one turbo timing setting), maximum torque, neutral range, drag brake, initial brake force, brake strength, low voltage cut-off, BEC (6V/7.4V), drive mode, reverse power, top speed and more!

Change Cut-Off

The HMX app offers some additional features which will ease your life: it all starts with the calibration process. You will be lead through the calibration by the app graphically. Also the Firmware Upgrade is easier than ever: you will just get a push notification and can follow on-screen instructions to move to the latest firmware upgrade tested by our team drivers. Those of you who drive stock races and need the Blinky mode you have two options: for sanctioned races you download the special, soon to be homologated Blinky firmware. Those who run at non-sanctioned club races can just activate the Blinky mode in the operational parameters.
