Discover all your file changes and modifications with this comparative tool.
HexDiff is a compare tool for binary and/or text data files. The comparison can be done on both a pair of files and a pair of directories. User can view the file and get all of the file's modification information by this software. In comparing window, any change on the file will be marked with green or red in the vertical scroll bar and user can move to the changed spot quickly by hot keys. Version 4.0 includes a new UI interface and a pair of shell browsers. The new fashion user interface is easy to use and user friendly. With the two shell browsers, user can select the compare targets much easier.
It's a much more stable and usable version than previous versions. And it's much faster than before, too.
Cons
UI is still not good enough.

Pros
nothing - initial screen is ok..it does nothing
Cons
The purpose of a file compare is to compare files - right?? This does nothing except tell you: "The Settings dialog is not usable. Please Register to activate the function." How can u evaluate operation if it won't work. Buy without trying.. DON'T THINK SO!!!! JUNK!! No documentation, no get started guide..nothing.. just "send me money"... fat chance!! It's only use is apparently to install spyware.

I'm running Win2000. The user interface was a little annoying and slow; I tried to compare 2 14Meg files and HexDiff pretty much hung for about 30 minutes - while the CPU was idle. I never got any results (different or not different), because it hung again after it started to display the results.
