Wage mechanized war on the future planet Terra Nova.

Heavy Gear is a war game in which you command giant mechanized bots set 4,000 years into the future on the planet Terra Nova. Two rival factions, the Confederated Northern City States (CNCS) and the Allied Southern Territories (AST), have colonized the planet, and the seeds of conflict are arising between the territories. This demo places you in the admirable shoes of Senior Ranger Edward Scott, the most skilled bot pilot in the CNCS force. Your mission is to guard the critical CNCS borders against encroaching forces. Rookie pilots will help you, and you can choose from eleven different bots with splendid names like the Grizzly, KODIAK, and the GRZ Destroyer. Get out there and kick some bot.

the demo has grounds for what the full game has. 1st u can build your own gear as you porgress in the game. 2ed good amount of mission to keep the edge up 3rd fun game try it out u might like it if your into robots

the only thing i did not see where a whole lotta upgrades i think it stoped at the mamoth. and some time the demo will not work.

Not to shabby at all. I had originally downloaded this on a whim and had not expected much, but I was majorly suprised at how much I enjoyed it. Good graphics, sound, story and an excellent musical score all combine to make this game one of my fave PC games. The game is a little older, but it is good nonetheless

The game is acually kinda cool(even though the graphics arent real great and it can't even run completely on a 128mb ram, 600 Mhz, 25 gig hard drive computer and with all those 3d programs you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I love how you can build your own gears and swich to low lighting so it looks like one of those online tank games another thing is all the features! this games awesome but not quite the best. 8 of 10 is my overall view. And be careful with the mplayer program thing my computer can never log on.

Horrible graphics and controls but an awsome sound track that they failed to carry to HG2 like the robot talks. tedious story terrible bot customizing If they had taken the sound sound features from HG and matched em to HG2 they would of had an awsome game
