An excellent map, but not for those weak of video card! The R_Speeds are incredibly high, but would be expected to be so with Half-Life's outdated 3D Engine. I would like to see this map translated to Half-Life 2... whenever that comes out! The gameplay is awesome, the environment makes you feel as if you are duking it out with the other team in the crisp mountain air. The sound effects are a falt of Half-Life, not the map designer. If you like these kind of games, download it. If you dont, then dont. If you dont know, then try it and uninstall if you dont like it. But people who love it should stop calling those who dont primordial cavemen with antique computers. Just because I cant afford a pentium 4 does that make me less valued as a consumer? If this isnt designed to operate well on slightly older computers, then the minimum requirements listed should be more honestly represented. And those who hate it should start saying what kind of processors they have to shut the spoiled mouths of the little rich brats sponging off mommy and daddy.

Try this capture-the-flag map, designed by Neal Manke and set in a chilling Nordic environment.

Vidar's Niflheim is mod master Neil Manke's new map for the Half-Life mod, Team Fortress Classic. Vidar is the Norse god of vengeance, and Niflheim is described as a region of ice. Fans of Manke's They Hunger add-on will enjoy the heart-pounding action in his latest capture-the-flag masterpiece.

In this map, your goal is to enter the enemy fortress and make your way to where their flag resides in the tower. You must grab the flag, bring it back to the base of your tower, and place it on the raised square to capture it, earning you 10 points. The flag will then return to the enemy base. Flag carriers drop the flag when they die, and dropped flags return to their base after 65 seconds. In this updated version, Neil Manke has addressed player's comments and suggestions to ensure more fair gameplay.
