Watch and record Web sites as they are viewed in a browser.
GURL Watcher silently watches the Web sites displayed in a browser. The user simply installs GURL Watcher, turns it on with the included SetUp application, and that's it. GURL Watcher works completely in the background to record all the sites visited by a computer's users. You can either save these URLs in a designated file known only to you, or email them to a designated address. The software helps parents and others to establish a system of trust and responsible use, rather than trying to impose limited access that may inadvertently cut people off from perfectly legitimate sites, without resorting to usually futile attempts at censorship, using complicated filtering software, or paying ongoing subscription fees.

I am a parent. I need to know what sites my adolescent is visiting. Not necessarily to stop him (I am not so foolish to think that if I prevent him from visiting porn sites, he won't view them from his friends' computers,) but to facilitate open communication ("no, pornography on the web isn't a realistic portrayal of human sexuality.") BTW, I am not only a parent, I am a child psychologist.
Gurl watcher sends me an e-mail with every specific url that he visits. And it is page specific; the log from my cable modem router did not permit this.
I don't know about it being a cpu hog; I haven't done any formal measurement, but I do not notice any significant slowing.
FYI: I would recommend a different type of trial period; instead of only one hour and no auto startup, a fully functioning two week period would permit a more representative assessment.
Great concept, but...
