This first-person combat-simulation game breaks no new ground, but still provides a good time. In Gunner, you find yourself holding an antiaircraft gun, and you must protect your side's ships by blasting away at the incoming fighter pilots. Gameplay is simple: you use your crosshairs to hone in on your target and unleash a volley of fire with your mouse, although you can play with the keyboard if you so choose. However, this game's concept belies its challenge, as we had a hard time successfully completing our first mission. Gunner's quality 3D graphics, excellent sound effects, and realistic sense of perspective all help enhance the action-packed experience. The feature set won't blow anyone's mind, but you'll still find all the basics, including the ability to play in windowed mode and adjust the audio to your liking. If relentlessly blasting your enemies to kingdom come sounds appealing, this program will be right up your alley.
-as the other versions of Gunner...gunsight floats around too much/ can't target well (if at all) also this version scrolls itself through the main and all other menus, so you better be quick on the ENTER when starting a game/ going to options/exiting/ etc.! sighting the guns are the REAL problem though.
Shoot down all of the enemy's aircraft with weapons.Gunner is an shoot'em-all war game with hardware-accelerated 3D graphics and sound. In this game you are an antiaircraft gunner. You have different weapons and must shoot all enemy crafts. Every mission has its own objective, but the main one is to crush all enemies and to protect your objects from destruction.
