Photo Sphere Camera guides you through the process of taking complete photos of your surroundings that the app then stitches together into a manipulatable sphere. Once your photo is complete and you're satisfied with the results, you can publish it to Google Maps to let others experience a bit of what you just did.

Pros

Good tutorial and guide: The tutorial at the beginning of this app clearly lays out the process and recommends you start with faraway objects rather than close-up ones until you gain experience. When you're ready to take a photo, just follow the instructions and move your phone to get the dot in the target, and you'll quickly have an interactive image of your surroundings.

Nice execution: Once you've taken all of the photos required to create the sphere, the app will automatically begin analyzing them and stitching them together into a smooth image. It does an impressive job of this, and in a relatively short amount of time. When your photo is complete, you can pan through it either by swiping or by moving your phone to reveal other areas.

Cons

Sharing limitations: The only way to share the images you take through this app is to publish them to Google Maps, which makes them available to the general public. You can also share on G+, but only if you've added the image to Google Maps first.

Bottom Line

Photo Sphere Camera lets you take great photos to preserve memories and share with friends. The option to publish to Google Maps is a good one, although it would be nice if there were any other sharing options available, particularly ones that didn't require you to make your images public. But you can still show anyone all of the images you create right on your phone, and the compilation process the app goes through produces impressive results.
