Synced bookmarks: If you log in to your Chrome account through the app, you can sync your bookmarks and tabs across your devices. That means you can pick up reading an article or browsing online right where you left off no matter where you are.

Data usage reduction: This browser also has a data usage reduction feature that can be turned on and off at will. It's useful when you're not connected to Wi-Fi to help you avoid using too much data and incurring overage charges while also improving loading times. And when you're back on Wi-Fi, you can just turn it off and use your browser as normal.

Ok interface: While it's clear how to search online as soon as you open this app, finding some of the other features can take some poking around. For instance, figuring out how to open a new tab is a little confusing initially. But once you get the hang of the interface, it makes sense where things are.

  • On your iPad you can now have multiple windows of Chrome at the same time. Tap and hold a link, and then choose 'Open in new window'.
  • A new feature in Settings, called safety check, allows you to check whether you’re on the latest version of Chrome, whether you have Safe Browsing enabled, whether you have any compromised passwords and, if so, how to fix them.
  • Auto-fill is now more secure. To auto-fill your passwords, sign in again with face ID, touch ID or your passcode.
