  Pros

  GREAT messenger . very low resources (video chat with 2 other members used only 65mb RAM compared to skype using 97mb WITHOUT any chat or video running) . encrypted communications . supports multi-protocols (aol, yahoo, msn, icq, etc) . does NOT use supernodes like skype . very simple layout . clutter-free design . NO ADS (as of now) . very solid audio and video quality . simultaneously video chat with multiple contacts . while video chatting easy to invite additional contacts . secure, secure, secure! . also supports facebook and twitter ( i use neither)

  Summary

  i have been using this for about a week now and it is definitely better than all the others so far. i have used skype, oovoo and a few others but they have their drawbacks such as supernodes + resource hog (skype) or no encryption + ads (oovoo). i recommened anyone who uses messengers give this a try and do your own evaluation.

  Pros

  1 radio and tv inside the sistem is great 2 same interface over windows-linux-mac OS. as i swtich sistems on my work i dont get tired of having a mess 3 multi messenger so i spend less resources on my computers 4rss system 5 voip calls 6 webfolder

  1 that they make it more easy for new users 2 have more radio and tv channels 3 let by defaults features others messengers have so it gets more visual intuitive

  I like to try different ways to comunicate white several friends in several IM protocols , which made a mess over time , and while the msn live messenger is good on windows is a bad joke on Mac os , and non existant on Linux (in my case ubuntu) as a system enginer i have an AA1 whit ubuntu , a laptop for more specific jobs whit windows vista , and a office computer whit mac os , while i check desings and web page desing , so have a program THAT MANTEIN A SINGLE USER INTERFACE is optimal for me... this program at first can get you dizzy whit so many features and you need to try them to love them , the best in my opinion is the webfolder so i upload files to it regardless where i am, and download later , or let my friends in other systems to download it , so that is why i hook up whit goober , they dont force (like others) to use their system so you use their features whit them. in the part of personalization , they made something cool making the avatars BIIG , so i like it , they need go beyond of that because MSN live messenger still the king in personalize the chat experience (even if the features are sub par of other IM protocols) so i think they focus first in better and cool USEFULL features than the fancy ones.. still i miss sometimes that on windows.. never the less on mac or linux.. goober is overkill for them i see they have the progam on iphone , but i dont still try it. as i been in goober trying anything for a couple of months i realize that there are just a few little steps of do something great (over windows platform) if you like to try different thigns , and be like myself a IM power user , you will love this program , makes you change OS from computers less hard, and after you try what you can do whit the webfolder and extra features ... so put yourself of how is cool to be a power user , i use the webfolder to send big files of programs in java , videos i take whit clients , while i hear a music estation from germany on goober , then i recive an rss feed of gamespot, then i chat whit friend on google talk , send them files and archives , open my email inside of it(yep they even get in the work of give me an email) then i recive communication of my webpage directly on my goober widget, and the user on my webpage made a video call whit it so i chat whit him and do a negotation about it , he goes ,and the widget gives me his email so i can call later , or write them the cotization i have in mind ... all of this on the same program , using less resources than msn live , or skipe , and the best is just like 30 megabyte file so is faster than the crazy more than 128 of windows live ( if i want a usefull instalation) this is young company that is doing something very well , and i dont change for a while, and because for a power user on internet after try it , it can make your life more easy.. so hope next update goes better and i can try it to check changes over different OS system.

  i thought landline voip calls(pc to landline) are free.tried it keep asking to top it up coz i have no credits.

  Summary

  i was attracted by the free landline voip calls but it ain't free coz i have to buy credits.i guess i will go back to skype
