  Pros

  GREAT messenger . very low resources (video chat with 2 other members used only 65mb RAM compared to skype using 97mb WITHOUT any chat or video running) . encrypted communications . supports multi-protocols (aol, yahoo, msn, icq, etc) . does NOT use supernodes like skype . very simple layout . clutter-free design . NO ADS (as of now) . very solid audio and video quality . simultaneously video chat with multiple contacts . while video chatting easy to invite additional contacts . secure, secure, secure! . also supports facebook and twitter ( i use neither)

  Summary

  i have been using this for about 4 weeks now and it is definitely better than all the others so far. i have used skype, oovoo and a few others but they have their drawbacks such as supernodes + resource hog (skype) or no encryption + ads (oovoo). i recommend anyone who uses messengers give this a try and do your own evaluation.
