  Predictions were a little complicated for me. I couldn't understand the logic behind them Loans managements is still under development Few useful reports

  Summary

  The first time you get your hands into GFP can be quite confusing, but just a few minutes after I started using it I started to like it. At the begining it could take some time to set all the necessary types of transactions as well as budgets for each of them but once you are all set you can insert transactions pretty quick and it allows you to set details on them. Budget report is one of my favorites Will wait for loans functionality Some reports could be added.

  Unfortunately, this product is nowhere near complete in order to release it to the public. It still contains numerous bugs. It does not appear to have been thoroughly tested. The learning curve of the program is slightly higher than normal, some field names and field name descriptions are far from descriptive. Help file is still in its early stages. As an open source program, they're looking for individuals to assist in the help file as well as the program. <p>By far the most annoying bug in the program is that it's not able to properly distinguish between expenses and income, which defeats the whole purpose of the program and messes up the entire database. It counts "Gas" and "Rent" as income, and they're clearly sub-categories of "Expenses". The second worst bug is the fact that the database ONLY displays the expense entries and not income. The program does keep track of your income in the background and subtracts the expenses from it, but if you're hoping to be able to delete income entries, you're out of luck. All in all, this program would be excellent if it were complete. It appears that it's on its way to getting there, but as it stands, it's simply a work-in-progress.

  - easy interface <p>- Save/export in XML file format (the export/save file needs to be renamed in XML) <p>- it is for PERSONAL finance, it means there are no complex things, but still have good planning capabilities <p>- Saw no spyware, malware, ads, etc. It is clean, and free! <p>- Saw no real bugs up till now. I have downloaded several freewares, this one is the simplest in the approach (you do not need to have an accountant approach!), and intuitive (I started using it without reading any help: perfect) <p>- good starting wizard.

  Cons

  - Combo box should open automatically when you "tab" and enter it <p>- Too many mouses clicks: it should be streamlined a bit more for entering new transactions.
