This application promises anonymity while you surf the Web, although using it is a chore. Armed with a state-of-the-art interface complete with great graphics and music, Get Anonymous Personal Edition hunts and analyzes proxy servers upon command. During testing, its search-and-proxy analysis was painstakingly slow, making its 10-minute trial increments unreasonable. At any rate, it did mask our IP after several attempts. After the program locates a serviceable proxy, you click the browser to be connected to a site other than your original home page. Browsing is problematic as pages mysteriously open while you visit specific sites. Some cleaning features for system and Internet Explorer tracks are thrown in but hardly make up for this utility's shortcomings. Even though this software masks your IP, it's easy to find an anonymity tool that won't hijack your browser.

It does not work. "Help" is poorly written. Given that, dared not try contacting support. Too bad for it appeared useful for my purposes since I frequent forums and often get banned.

I downloaded the trial, I'm not an idiot and I couldn't figure out at all how to use this product. The help section is of no use either. By the time you could get it figured out, the trial period would be over! Don't bother, waste of time!

Wrecks MSN Messenger connections,10 min trial limit,Doesn't hide my IP address. Even uninstalled, the connections are still messed up and i had to reinstall to get messenger working again. In other words, it's not worth downloading

I downloaded and ran this program. Then went to dslreports.com and in the tools section you can check your IP address, it did not mask mine at all.

First I installed on my laptop when I was at home one night and it worked perfectly. Then when I took my laptop to work the next day, it did not:( Customer support told me that the personal version is not meant for firewalls and I checked with the network guy at work and he confirmed that we have a firewall :((((( Support told me that the get anonymous professional is friendly with firewalls. will try that!

It does not work behind a firewall, but if you really want it to, just fiddle with the advanced options. My favorite part is the fact that it does not stick with one proxy. It changes every minute or so. I don't know how to configure this time limit yet. I might upgrade to the Pro version if I continue to like it ;)
