  Pros

  Very easy scripting. A7 engine is the fastest of all game development systems, can render 60,000 objects with no frame rate problems.

  Cons

  Model editor is very simple, better edit your model with MAX or MAYA and import it.

  Summary

  What I like best is the ease of use, especially for casual games.

  Build levels easy, make your own characters in 3d, use bones or verticals for animation, lite C is easy to use, import many formats

  use 3dmax to create more complex characters, but some characters are too complex

  Pros

  This concept is just great. I love this. Multi-genre enabled, optional 3D/2D, flash coding, and pixelated imaging! Who could ask for more? This is such a great program!

  Cons

  It has multi-programmed stages so it's gonna be a real pain switching programs every time I want to change some coding or model an object. Also, it looks pretty confusing at the start, but I know I'll get the hang of it. Overall, it's a decent program.

  This software contains all you need for creating or programming games, in a very uncomplicated and straightforward way. Especially the tutorials about game programming and shader programming give very good introductions to a beginner. First do the tutorial and then begin to create a 3D game right away.

  New version has support for the space navigator device, a 3D pointing device like a joystick on steroids. Also the new engine features are very good!

  Gamestuudio has a very logical, easy to understand system of tools - level editor, model editor, script editor, and engine. It has also a system for clicking a game together from components without programming.<p>It comes with a great step by step tutorial into game programming. I had a programming course in school but at that time I didn't really get it. The gamestudio tutorial is much better than the course I had in school!<p>If you were frustrated by other engines, like me, this is the right system for you. There is plenty of documentation and tutorials, and the community is very helpful.<p>The engine and script language is free, only the version with the level editor must be paid ($99).
