Does the job, but slowly.

Pros
One of the few pieces of software that is available on a trial basis and is able to join video files competently.
Cons
Very slow to join videos as it (as far as I am aware) re-encodes the files to create on video rather than simply merging the existing files.
Summary
I have only used the software to join videos, but I imagine that this is not where it's strengths lie, as it is also possible to add special effects and transitions when joining videos.
Bad output results - when used merging videos made from a camera.

Cons
Pulled videos taken from a 3-4 year old Konika Minolta digital camera, with a "movie" mode for taking short videos. Transferred them to pc then ran them through this software to join them (3 short ones - the first 11.2mb, the 2nd & 3rd vids 2mb ea. "QuickTime" videos, merged on a pc with Windows XP). The result - no sound on the second 2 videos when merged. Tried several output settings, too. Camera is older, yes, but takes videos fine. Note I did not try any other type of videos than the QuickTime clips, thus the poor review.

Had nothing but problems running this program. Shortcuts that didn’t work. Program would not work. Then had to do a system restore to remove this pile.

Pros
Software works as advertised on my WinXP-SP2 system. Will output joined files using any codecs you have installed on your PC. Doesn't suck nearly as bad as prev. reviews might indicate.
Cons
The interface is klunky and unattractive; tries to do too much in too little space.

First of all, you can only add one file to the list at a time.If you click on the button for "multi-add" the program will crash with the message "run-time error '91' Object variable With block variable not set." Translation: this program was written by someone who has no clue whatsover what they are doing. Interface and graphics look like they were designed 20 years ago. This program and it's creator are a joke.

The installation on my Windows 2003 Server complained about missing DLL's, even though the installer indicated a successful installation. The program would not launch.
