It takes more space compared to WMA but the quality could not be compared. The quality of every FLAC file is great. WMA on the other hand is a more popular file format compared to FLAC. Many players do not support FLAC format but its need lies in more superior areas. The professionals of industries need this format to work upon because of its quality. Because it is must to do conversion, a good converter is needed to be kept handy all the times. Also it is a better option to have the converter in form of a standalone application which means that it will not need internet to work. It turns out to be a great advantage since net may not be available all the time. This application is one of those applications which do not need net. Unlike many other converters, it comes for free.
