  Absolutely NONE!

  When I first added files, it said there wasn't enough space on the DVD, so I removed files. After that, it started the conversion, so I just assumed it was fine. It took nearly 2 days to convert. Now, I expected it to be slow, but 2 days?? Then the burner started, but it said there wasn't enough space. What a waste of time! But the WORST is the yahoo search engine. It's not a toolbar, but it opens up when you open up any browser. There is NO WAY to remove it, and I HATE Yahoo, so it's very annoying. And, who knows? It could have adware. I'm scanning for that now to see if it will remove. It's not in program files or in the control panel. EXTREME frustration and I recommend this program to NOBODY.

  Perfect for my needs for burning DVDs to play on older DVD players. Just be sure to DECLINE toolbars and add ons during the install process.

• Fairly simple program for a beginner like me

  Pros

  This program is specialized to output to NTSC or PAL TV format DVD, which maybe simplifies it. Simple menu to choose output quality (high, medium, standard), widescreen/normal etc in each of those TV formats. Displays how much space each file will need on DVD. Publisher's email help desk responded quickly to a minor problem.

  Cons

  Program can't insert chapter headings etc. A long video comes out in a single chunk. (Publisher may be working on this.) No help screens, and error messages not helpful. Doesn't do any other output formats (that could be a pro point!)

  Summary

  Tried this after dire results from three other freeware programs. Downloaded it without any of the problems other reviewers mention (spam toolbars etc) -- just choose custom install and be careful which boxes you check. Admitted, I downloaded from the publisher's website, but if CNET downloads are a problem, no doubt they are fixing it by now! DVDs play OK on my 2-year-old Toshiba player. Comes with an associated DVD burner program. A problem was it kept telling me there was no disk in the drive; seems you have to load up the files for conversion first. Not perfect, but perhaps best of the freeware bunch.

  Pros

  burns different formats videos into a dvd fast conversion I used it for 3 years until recently it doesn't work any more. It was very good when it worked.

  Cons

  doesn't work anymore, says file conversion failure.

  Summary

  I would use it again when it is fixed.

  Pros

  All the different apps in the same program makes this video converter a user friendly one.

  Cons

  Some of the apps need more downloads and database; should be one download no matter the size of it.

• couldn't be simpler, works and it's free,

  Pros

  takes a playlist of video files in multiple formats, converts, burns them to a dvd with a simple list-type menu. great for making dvd compilations of youtube video; cheap & dirty way to re-assemble movies divided into youtube size segments. burns +r, -r, rw ; haven't tried dl, no playback problems in computers or several dvd players i've used. can even choose various quality level / playing times for the output dvd. all software should be this easy. ( results with an hp computer running windows 7)

  Cons

  often, when windows does an update / fix this program gets damaged; gives cryptic error messages at start-up, crashes just after conversion, etc. i have to do a system restore and / or un- & re-install, find a version that will work and so on.

  Summary

  does everything i need; wish it wasn't so hard to keep running.
