• Generates passwords but installs malware as well

  Pros

  It generates passwords fine, you choose length, letters, numbers, caps, etc.

  Cons

  It also installs without permission a nasty bit of malware called PC Optimizer Pro. This malware then repeatedly demands $49.95 to pay for software I didn't want and didn't give permission to install. It installed itself through CNET's "installer" which apparently cannot be trusted and I will not use ever again. I am fortunate to have Revo's Uninstaller which overrode the malware's resistance to uninstalling.

  Summary

  DO NOT download or install this! There are many other true freeware password generators. Find something else and skip this one entirely!

  Pros

  Portable application, no installation, no registration, free, very simple to use, allows to set the password(s) length, the number of passwords, upper lower case, use of number and/or letters, save to clipboard, and save to file.

  Cons

  No special characters settings

  Summary

  All and all a very nice little freeware, very simple to use, generated 10,000 passwords in 7 seconds. Thumbs up!
