  the effectiveness and the speed of the Free OGG to MP3 converter are commendable. I admire the efficiency of this tool. It functions quickly and hardly affects other programs in the system. I think it is one of the best converter tools that should be installed in your system.

• Too Much Spam-ware

  I don't know because I halted the install as soon as I saw it install a download manager that commenced to install even more spamware.

  The most spam laden installer I've come in contact with in a long, long time. I could forgive it if they had given you some way, ANY way, to bypass the spam install. But I didn't see even any of the usual cleverly disguised opt outs that will let you install just the intended program. It's just awful.

  Summary

  Don't even think about running this install. I'm not even sure if there is a useful program under there. It hijacked my browser and changed the home page and the default service provider. It also installed and fired up a download manager that commenced to download god-knows-what. Stay away from this product until they strip away the spamware!

  Can convert OGG to MP3 one file at a time.

  As the other reviewer noted, the installer is full of adware and malware garbage it that repeatedly tries to trick you into installing. Even if you consider yourself savvy enough to avoid these traps, don't waste your time. The program can't do batch conversion--no multi-select, no drag and drop, nothing. You have to select files one at a time, over and over again, and it can't even be bothered to remember the folder you just selected.

  Summary

  It completely blows my mind how this POS manages to get any good ratings, or why it's even allowed on here. Then again, this shouldn't be surprising from a site like CNET which pushes its own spam and "downloader" on you and won't even let you opt out of the former when you sign up. I'd give this zero stars if I could.

  Program does the job.

  Cons

  Comes with many, extremely persistent adware installation and browser hijacking steps you have to carefully decline and opt out of. Even after declining every last one of them, I still had to remove an advert-serving program from my computer that had installed along with the program.
