  Took over browser homepage - loaded registry with crap, does not UNINSTALL - reckon trojan/spyware if not virus - DOES NOTHIN!!! DOES NOT WORK!

  I dont know what everyone is complaining about.... Fast conversion rate Freeware audio and video look identical to the input format I am very Happy right now

  Summary

  This program converted my 12megapixel mov videos to dvd-mpg files in a matter of minutes. The quality is great and now I am using these files on Windows Movie Maker. I COULDN'T have ASKED FOR MORE..! and for free??? hell yea! What I did was extract the zip folder (containing about 12 or so files) to my desktop and click on the Square that has MOV AVI text in it. (use a folder instead, less mess) The program lights right up (without installation) and I did a batch conversion, which was the bomb! All my files in one session. And fast too.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jun 23, 2010<p/>Try xvid 1.2.1 codec for windows movie maker.

  It does absolutely nothing. No wonder it is such a fast download.

  Summary

  Does nothing. Just gives you a green bar and says it did something. That's not progress. It says free but you have to pay to get the version that does something. I would rather use a product that is upfront about the actual cost and doesn't come in a pretty pink package. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" Unless it's made of a cardboard cutout.

  INSTALLED EASILY, CONVERTS MOV TO AVI IN ABOUT 9 NANOSECONDS (WHAT IT REALLY DOES IS CREATE O ZERO BYTE FILENAME THAT WON'T WORK), ADDED 4 CRAPWARE ICONS TO MY DESKTOP. WHAT OTHER HARM DID THIS SHIT-WARE DO TO MY SYSTEM?

  I refused the Yahoo toolbar but got 5 ad icons on my desktop.Changed homepage to Google. It stopped responding every time. I even tried rebooting and it still wouldn't work. 2 instances of it ran in Task Manager...why? Generally.....crap!

  Summary

  It probably needs all the crapware it wants to install to be able to run properly, I don't know and I don't want to find out, thank you very much!

  1. Great Price. 2. Pretty good visual and audio modifications 3. Once you learn the program it is quick and easy.

  -Customers Support was lacking. I almost quit trying. -A help menu link would be great. -Step by step directions. My tech to get it to work b/c I had the trial version and the program that was purchased on the computer and they caused confusion.

  Like i mentioned above it was getting it running that caused the greatest frustration. Once the trial was off my computer and reloaded it worked great. I could have used a help link to explain how to edit with movie maker and what the featrues were features were. But, then that would have cost more so for the $60 I have spent it is working just great. It isn't an elite product but it is great for a beginner to learn editing and adding features. I have enjoyed discovering the features by trial and error. Another feature that would be nice would be a save your work so that you could return at a later time and finish vs. starting over. Biggest issues was the manual, if i would have had one it would have been alife saver. But I like it now. I think with the graphics and text it is a well worth product. It doesn't take long to use, quick and easy once you get the hang of it.

  It added different icons to the desktop like napster, ebay, and others. It didn't work at all. It changed the IE home page.

  It didn't do what it said it would do and it did a lot of other negative stuff that I didnt' ask. This software should be removed from download.com

• Don't waste your time - junkware

  Slow, system hog, changes your home page w/o notice, progress bar does not work

  Installed fine. Gave it a 1,777,000KB file to convert. No indication program is working, bar at top says program "not responding" but it appears to be building an avi file. One hour later has built a 1,023,000KB avi file and is still doing its thing. Taskmanager says it is using 100% of system resuorces. Surely there is a better tool out there to convert MOV files.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Dec 29, 2008<p/>Six hours to convert a 90 minute movie and the resulting avi file was unwatchable. No help at the manufacturers site all you can do is d/l the program. Messes w/ your registry and leaves trash and malware behind. Stay away from this garbage.

  I ran it: it did nothing (as per others' comments). Then, I had to manually remove a piece of malware that it installed in my start-up. Now, the MOV2AVI homepage has hijacked IE. And that's just so far...

  Summary

  "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose." If you've got something to lose, like all the info on your HDD, then there ain't nothing free.
