  Does what it is supposed to do. Pings a network.

  Cons

  This is not free software. It is nagware. Every time you start it you will be prompted to enter a registration code. You have to pay for a registration code.

  Summary

  This software is misnamed. It is not free at all. There's nothing particularly special about it so save yourself some time and just download a free scanner.

  Pros

  Free IP Scanner scans an IP range from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255, shows my default IP address and port number. Shows my working IP address, work group name, host name, and physical address. It scans port numbers 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 79, 80, 110, and 119, it shows IP addresses with a green check mark and a red x.

  Cons

  Free IP Scanner doesn't install into programs, thats why it can only be used one time.
