  I have used this in conjunction with my ACD 12 and have done so since ACD 3 and my 1st computer. I appreciate that it is quite a simple way to print, but having adjusted were needed any photos in ACD 12 before printing it is just perfect as the choice of layouts sizes & able to adjust full pages make it the most versatile program to use [in my humble opinion]

  Cons

  I have not in all the years of using FotoSlate 4 Photo Print Studio found any.

  Summary

  Overall I have found ACD Photo products to satisfy all my needs

  Summary

  If you want a simple program for cleaning up and printing photos without trying to learn a lot of extras and no spending a lot of money on extras you probably will never use anyway, this is the product for you. Great at locating and printing photos!

  Pros

  I've used ACD products (ACDSee) for many years, so I thought this would be good as well. It's very easy to use and print out a variety of things.<p>When our new clothing line comes out we like to print out small pictures of every item. When doing this through Windows XP print it doesn't have an option to "shrink to fit" nor will it print metadata (such as filename). This program does. That saves us hours of time!

  Cons

  The only thing I really don't like about the software is that sometimes when resampling it makes my picture blurry. All of my pictures stored on my network drive are the same DPI and dimensions 99% of the time, yet some of the picture (only 2 or 3) came out blurry.

  This program is a wonder because I have not found its match. Easy to use pre designs and templates that can be used with one or multiple images. The designer funtions that allow you to set up any print layout you want to use various paper sizes is terrific. Add in the drag and drop functionality for placing you images into your place holders you have a winner... Almost

  Cons

  There are 3 major cons. <p>1. Frames and templates. Inside the program is an instant frame option that let you put frames around your images, very cool save that you are limited to the ones from ACD(a short list) and you can't customize your oun. <p>2. Printing orientaion. Another problem has been printing orientaion. Regardless of whether you set your printer to landscape or portrait the prining occures base or the orientation of the layout. This is a bother because you must design you layout for this fact and not so much your paper that you are using. <p>3. Follow up service, because this tidy bit of software is not their primary seller ACD(to the best of my knowledge) does not offer new material or frames or plugins...for this software. <p> <p>As I said almost great. If they addres the three things mentioned there may be great hope for the future of this program.

  Pros

  Part of ACDSee Powerpack, which in my opinion is the easiest and FASTEST photo organizing program out there. It prints pics in a variety of layouts (over 400), and can print multiple pictures on the same page. For example if you have 9 pictures you want to print, it will print all 9 on the same page, in a variety of shapes & sizes. Will mix sizes on the same page (like 12 wallets and 4 bigger). Can make your own templates, although with the many choices I've never had to bother with that.

  Cons

  Not a must-have but nice. I don't know if I would bother buying it as a stand-alone product, since any photo program can print pictures. ACDsee does an excellent job of printing single or multiple pics on a page (but all the same size), but I think it's worth getting ACDsee Powerpack to get FotoSlate and other tools bundled together.

  Pros

  This program saved me time, money, and believe it or not, my job. With the paper saver function, you can really put a bunch of images on one page, and then customize where you want them, borders, etc all in one small interface. MUST GET. Worth the money.

  I've purchased numerous photo printing programs. Fotoslate is the best. After being bored with the limited options of Photoimpressions, I stumbled over Fotoslate. It is a very user friendly program loaded with tons of options.

  FotoSlate DOES allow you to "resize" prints by designing your own templates, etc. Also, you CAN move a photo up or down with the mouse-control key. These are two features I had to have.

  i thought this program was very VERY good, it makes photos and pictures look great with the different settings and you can print many different types of things and i especially like that you can make your own templates, (very useful) i would have been compleetly satisfied except for one problem which has led me to not continue to use it which is a simple thing u think they could get right, when images are resized for the shape you have in your template, sometimes the image isnt resized to fit exactly it is just made narrower and what happens is there is a small gap at the top making your image shorter, if you understand what i mean. otherwise a very good program if only there wasnt that one small yet somewhat critical problem
