You can use the app to create a comprehensive plan for your family, and you can configure notifications, so you know when flood warnings have been issued for a specific area.

Quizzes: The app also features quizzes that you can use to see how well you've mastered the information in the reference sections of the program. And you can compete against your friends and family to see who can ace them all first.

Cons

Inaccurate location: During testing, the location services feature of the app determined we were in several different locations, some of which were pretty far off. Since you can set specific locations for notifications and see shelter locations for the entire country, this doesn't have to be a huge drawback, though.

Bottom Line

This app is a great one to have on-hand whether you live in a particularly flood-prone area or not. It's free, and its intuitive interface gives you quick access to all of its information and features.
