In three quick steps, FlipAlbum Suite lets you create attractive photo albums that look and behave like real ones. The program automatically generates a thumbnail page, a table of contents, and an index page to keep viewers oriented, even in a large album. You can organize your album with separator pages, bookmarks, or tabs. Adding audio is easy, and the songs play and loop smoothly. You can share your completed album by sending it through e-mail, posting it to a Web page, making a video, and burning it onto a disk. In exchange for ease of use, you give up control over page design: the trial version comes with only one theme. Also, you'd better have a lot of memory--the program consumed between 32MB and 94MB during our multiple tests. Still, anyone who wants to create an attractive photo album to share with family and friends will enjoy FlipAlbum Suite.

DONT BELIEVE THE WEB SITE WHEN YOU PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE. FIRST, YOU DONT GET MANY PHOTO ALBUM TEMPLATES BUT THE SITE LEADS YOU TO BELIEVE YOU WILL GET LIKE 300. THE TEMPLATES ARE SEPARATE FOR PURCHASE (QUITE EXPENSIVE TOO I MIGHT ADD). YOU ONLY GET LIKE 5 OR SO. THE BIGGEST MISREPRESENTATION IS THAT CD-SHOPPING CART THAT FOR 100+ BUCKS. IF YOU WANT YOUR CUSTOMERS TO PURCHASE VIA CART DIRECTLY FROM YOUR CREATED CD FROM THE FLIP ALBUM PROGRAM. THAT PROGRAM IS LIKE BUILT IN THE EARLY 90'S. AND IT IS ENGLISH INPUT/OUTPUT ONLY. (THEY DONT TELL YOU THAT) SO IF YOU ARE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY OTHER THAN AMERICA, YOU ARE STUCK WITH ENGLISH OUTPUT ORDER FORMS ONLY FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS, PERIOD, AND YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT USE YOUR LOCAL CURRENCY SYMBOL, AND IT HAS A DEFAULT 0.00 FIELD SO YOU HAVE TO USE $ DECIMAL SYSTEMS. Nice slide shows for others. Well-done graphics. Nice page-flipping effect. You can reorder the pictures. Picture EXIF information is available. Can play background audio. Picture borders may be used. Can package a picture set for others to view.
Cons
Not so useful for viewing your own picture files. There is no pan and zoom. Picture captioning is crude. To include picture EXIF information, you have to include ALL of it (typically you only want a little bit of it). A picture can have an associated audio file, but it can't play while the picture is being displayed.

It works great provided you have a fast processor.

I tried this product a few years ago on my 650MHz Duron, and decided it wasn't worth the effort. Tried it again a few days ago on my P4 and was pleasantly surprised to find that it has improved by leaps & bounds since. It's quite a CPU guzzler, but I guess it takes power to get those pages to flip smoothly.
