Pros

Emergency tab: Tap the Emergency tab to access authoritative instructions on what to do for everything from Allergies to Unconsciousness, including broken bones, burns, choking, hypothermia, meningitis, and stroke.

Crisis mode: First Aid can more or less do some of the thinking for you in a crisis, saving time and possibly a life. When in doubt, tap Call 911 to summon help immediately.

Be prepared: The Prepare tab has checklists, instructions, and related resources for everything from food poisoning to volcanoes.

Merit badge: First Aid's Learn and Tests tabs constitute a pretty good course in basic preparedness and first response to everyday emergencies or life-and-death situations.

Cons

Document-like: Like similar apps from the American Red Cross, First Aid is a model of clarity and usefulness, but it comes across a bit like a printed pamphlet. More animation and video might make the app more attractive to a wider range of users.
