Fireflies for Mac is exactly as it sounds, a screensaver that emulates the look of fireflies on your screen. It is fast and easy to install and looks great on retina displays for the MacBook, making it a solid replacement for any of the built-in screensavers you currently have on your machine. While there are no added tools or features here, it is a free screensaver, so it's a good value.
After downloading the Fireflies for Mac file, you can open and install it in just a couple of seconds. There will be a folder with a README file, a screensaver file, and quick instructions for installing it. Double-click the screensaver file and it will automatically open the Screensaver menu, install the file, and show you where to set it. From there, you can set the timer and turn the screensaver on, and it will play when indicated by the system settings. You can then go back into the settings at any time and change how it appears or uninstall it with the click of a button.
