  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />The initial backup seemed to go well, but the error log listed hundreds of files that it could not copy, saying that it was "denied". Most of them were pictures, html files, some pdf's. Could be a good product if it can get over this issue.

  Pros

  The interface is okay, the management is done by profiles.

  Cons

  This software is not transparent. Some DataTransportAgent is installed and loaded and does whatsoever... The backup (destination: empty dir) was not done at all. Options are pretty poor and filter functions are not sufficient for me... It needs a database connection even though it does not offer incremental or dirrerential backup...

  modern UI, probably good sync functions, seems well thought-of

  Cons

  During installation, you have to download and install "Data Transport Agent", File Backup claims to be requiring. In fact, the downloaded and installed software IS then File Backup Pro and if you read the EULA, it is a 30-day trial. <p> <p>NO THANKS

  Pros

  I have tried lots of backup software and this does everything that they can do and it is a piece of cake to use. The FTP upload function is very useful for my offiste backups. Also, there is a built in regular expression library, which lets you quickly backup different types of files such as music files - highly recommended.

  Cons

  The FTP upload doesn't support secure connections
