FEZ is an independent videogame originally released for Xbox Live and then ported to PC for release on Steam and GOG. In it, you play as Gomez, a 2D creature living in what he believes is a 2D world. One day, a strange and powerful sentient artifact reveals to him the existence of a mysterious third dimension.

When the existence of a mysterious 3rd dimension is revealed to him, Gomez is sent out on a journey that will take him to the very end of time and space. Use your ability to navigate 3D structures from 4 distinct classic 2D perspectives. Explore a serene and beautiful open-ended world full of secrets, puzzles and hidden treasures. Unearth the mysteries of the past and discover the truth about reality and perception. Change your perspective and look at the world in a different way.

FEZ is a 2D platformer set in a 3D world. The world is 3D, but you always play from 2D perspectives. Each 3D world has 4 Sides. You can freely "rotate" your point of view in 90-degree increments between these 2D perspectives, letting you navigate complex 3D environments, solve puzzles and find secrets.

The goal of the game is simply to explore and find treasures. FEZ features a huge open world, dense with secrets and mysteries. There are many different areas, all of which can be explored in any order. There are no enemies in FEZ--no bosses, no combat, in fact, no conflict of any kind. You can die, but there is no penalty for it. FEZ offers a non-threatening world rich with ambiance, a pleasant place to spend time in.
