• Very Good Starter Shopping Cart

  Pros

  If you know a little bit about html coding, you can edit the templets to your needs. <p>So when it builds your page it will all be uniform. I like it because it use the data base to build my pages and I have over a thousand products and can u imagin if I had to type in all the description for each item, I would never be done or keep up with the changes. With fast e cart, I just drop my description for my products into the data base provided by fast ecart and and any other things I need in the data base to build in my pages , and then go to build.   I wish they make the software to build ASP.net Pages, It would then be an awsome program.

• Terrible Support

  Pros

  It is an easy to use ecommerce website builder for a beginning online store.

  Cons

  I purchased the software on May 16, 2007 and expected immediate download. After a few days I still had not received any download info from Code9 software. I complained to Paypal, and then on May 24, 2007 I finally received a response and the download information. After building my website, a virus entered my computer and made the FastCart .exe file useless, however all other files remained intact and useable. The Fastcart website claims to give online support for 90 days. On August 7, 2007 I filled out a request to have my serial number reset, as it is impossible to re-download the software into my computer without a reset. It has been more than 2 days, and again I have no response from FastCart.

  Looks like it has the potential for being a good shopping cart program

  But, it's absolute junk. Wasted my time installing only to get some un-recognized errors. Products don't show up. Frustrating <p> <p>Why in the hell would I want to buy a fully functional program when the demo is garbage? <p> <p>I think I'm going to send this guy a bill for wasting my time.

  The demo worked quite well.

  Cons

  The support is non-existent. The LIVE ONLINE HELP is never available. E-mails are never answered. I tried ordering the full version of Code9 software and I had a heck of a time completing the order form. <p>No way to download the full version. <p>I could order not directly from their web site. <p>I received an order conformation number but I still don't know if I will ever receive the software. This the worse support I have ever encountered!

  Pros

  After trying the demo I purchased the full version. It is simple and sraight forward software that cleanly links you with PayPal and therefore is great addition to your website if you deal on eBay as buyers on eBay are familiar with PayPal they would feel comfortable using your website. You can purchase additional templates or if you are familiar with HTML create your own template as I have done with my website.

  Cons

  The only drawback may be for users who are selling clothing. For instance if you sell a tshirt in S, M, and Lg you have to create a seperate listing for each size or color, but in some cases (as with drop-down menus), this eliminates buyers from accidentally ordering a Small when they thought they were ordering a Medium.

  Pros

  The software is very easy to use. I was a customer long before becoming a distributor for the company. If you rush it is very easy to make a mistake, as with any new program, and you may lose your work. It's that simple. The product is great out of the box, for beginners and medium sized businesses, and is especially appealing because you don't have to deal with the problems of having a Merchant Account. PayPal does all the procesing and the scripts to do this are built into the program.

  Cons

  Could use a facility to back-up and restore projects. Right now shipping is tied into the feature offered via PayPal. Needs to have its own SHIPPING area. Shipping cannot always be calculated fairly by percentage or value of the product being purchased. Could also benefit greatly from built-it FTP publisher.

  Please stay away from this "software", I waste $ 50. <p>This company is not a business is just a guy making easy money, no emails, no live help (like the site said), no help at all. <p>Totaly scam! This is a program for kinder garden user! <p>I didn't know how to put no stars rating.

  the software deleted all the links to my images would have to go back and redo each image 175

  after getting 175 products listed all the links to the images are gone after using the update called only online support 24 hours to resond called the code 9 office no help at all !!! <p>i dont recomaned this software till ths bugs are worked out it should be free to use till then
