This piece of freeware both magnifies certain areas of your screen and captures simple screenshots. The program's interface is unlikely to confuse most users; you simply open it up, choose the level of magnification, and watch the main window enlarge the area of the screen next to your mouse cursor. You'll find six preset magnification levels from 1X to 10X, but you can't enter your own custom one. EzMagnifier doesn't provide a lot of bells or whistles, but the tool for saving a screenshot of the magnified area as a BMP file is a useful addition. Although this utility has a narrow scope, we do appreciate that it's totally free and has little impact on system resources. EzMagnifier will suit users with poor eyesight as well as those with very basic screen-capture needs.
I have found this program to be very useful. It does *not* seem to contain any spyware, as a previous reviewer suggested it did -- I ran both AsAware and also SpyBot Search & Destroy on it, and neither found any problems with it. It also did *not* hijack my browser home page, etcd., ad the earlier reviewer suggested it did. Perhaps the earlier viewer makes a competitive product, or just had downloaded something else that screwedc his system up. for me, this utility worked much better than the Windows XP built-in magnifying utility. The Microsoft magnifier was clumsy to work with for several reasons, and ended up smushing up all the icons on my desktop, requiring me to go back and re-arrange everything (even tho I hadn't been using the program to magnify my *desktop* per se.). For free, this is hard t argue with.
SPYWARE!!!

Need I say more? Program changes your browser homepage and may crash your internet sessions. Good magnifier but not worth the hassle.
Not Worth It...
Pros
Cons
Summary
The program is fairly easy to use, stable, but the quality of anything magnified even twice the size is so degraded, it's fairly useless. Nothing "bad" about the program, simply nothing "good" either. It's just... bleh.

Summary
I am running EZmagnifier on XP and it has been stable. 1X - 10X zoom capability. Resizing and image capture work well. All in all a handier magnifier than the one which comes with XP. Minimizes so it is out of the way. i would recommend this software.

Summary
This is a cool small utility and it is very easy to use and the capture feature is very handy indeed.
Magnify and capture a portion of the screen. This small utility magnifies a portion of the screen, and you can choose the zooming factor and resize the magnified portion to suit your needs. You can capture images and save them in the same folder as the program, and you can save multiple captures sequentially.
