ExtendX's Connection Wizard provides immediate read-only access to any Microsoft SQL Server database (as well as DB2-400, Pervasive.SQL or MS Access JET files). ExtendX's Table Wizard shows you all the tables, views and Star Schemas in the database. It also grants access to the Schema Builder which is an advanced interface for designing and developing ExtendX-based views (called Star Schemas). Once a table, view or Star Schema is selected, ExtendX creates a shortcut which can be placed on the desktop.

Double-clicking on the Shortcut brings the user to the Pivot Page with all the data automatically loaded into memory. The user can then manipulate and pivot the data instantly, as desired, via dragging and dropping the column names. Then from the Pivot Table, report, chart and drill down to the individual rows. Define reports in seconds, then save them and share them with anyone on the network. This time-limited, full-featured trial version is a multi-user app that works with an unlimited number of PC stations on the network.

Pros
Adds a very affordable & powerful user data analysis and reporting tool to our business application. Users can drill down from the ExtendX view into database data.
Cons
For the product as sold there are no Cons. For future versions more dashboard type graphics would be great.
Summary
For Pervasive.SQL and uniPaaS developers this is the only product that I have found where you can integrate a powerful data analysis tool directly into your application; and it is easy to use.

Pros
Within 15 min of downloading I had my first pivot table. Taught a "User" how to manipulate table for their needs in 10 min and they were blown away. Excellent support.
Cons
Cannot format built in graphs but this is a minor problem as it is simple to dump the results to excel.
Summary
We saw the value and bought the Premier version one day after downloading the free version.

Pros
Very easy to setup. Create reports in under 5 minutes.
Cons
Hard to find one.It did what it was supposed to and I didn't ahve to spend money to find out that it works.
Summary
They gave a nice video to show how to set it up for dummies. If you know your way around you can virtually have a report out in under 5 minutes from install to report. Nice job!
