Key Details of Express Burn Plus
Editors' Review
Express Burn Mac DVD provides numerous tools to author audio, video, and data CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs using your Mac computer, mostly without issues. The interface is clean but a little dated, and the features are all stripped down to the easiest possible input methods, making it quick and easy to load data or video and create your discs.
After installation, you can immediately start creating new discs. Each mode is separated into its own menu--audio, video, data, or ISO. The ISO mode is especially nice, allowing you to create disc images without necessarily needing to burn it to a disc. Adding files is relatively simple and you can then insert things like menus, track lists, or CD text, especially useful when authoring DVDs. The number of options for things like video quality is limited--offering two formats and a 5-point slider for video quality. Without custom settings for things like bit rate and audio sampling, your options are limited; but the resulting discs do look and sound good, so if you're a casual user, this may be a benefit more than a detriment. Switching between the different types of discs and moving data and files is easy, as well, though there was at least one burn error when the data was loaded and we switched from Blu-ray to DVD before starting.
Express Burn Mac DVD is a useful tool that provides a number of options for authoring and burning CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. The stripped-down interface makes it quick and easy to use, though it may limit options for power users with specific needs. If you need a simple disc burner and ISO creator, this is a solid tool that should meet most of your needs.
