Build SFTP into Finder and all your favorite apps.
ExpanDrive lets you transparently access, open, edit and save files from within all your favorite programs - TextMate, Photoshop, Acorn, Terminal and even Finder. No need to load a separate client to transfer files. Access remote files over SSH/SFTP from directly within Finder - as easily as if they are on an USB drive you plugged directly into your own computer
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
As other reviewers have said it's like having a volume in the Finder (with all the benefits that provides). That apart, will it replace Transmit as my FTP client of choice? If it were both competitive on price and also as fast as Transmit -- it's about 5% slower in my experience -- the answer would be 'yes'.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been using Expandrive for almost a year and rely on it daily. I log into my ftp accounts without having to open a specific application like, Transmit, Flow or Forklift. ExpanDrive 2.0 brings with it Amazon S3 support, thrilling.
ExpanDrive is so simple to use. Each account appears to be just another hard drive on your desktop, you drag & drop files just like you do when moving files via the finder. I uploaded a 3MB file in less than 30 seconds with my 30 Mbps Comcast connection. I did notice that with the larger files ExpanDrive hogs all the power from the cpu and you can't work with the Finder until the upload/download is complete. So, unfortunately with large files over 100MB I recommend using Transmit or another FTP application.
I would give a 5 Star review if the Finder problem was resolved.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've gotta agree - this is excellent stuff. Mounted volumes appear as, er, 'volumes' - local ones, at least vis-a-vis what you can do with them. Makes life really convenient. I've dealt with the developers too, and was pretty much floored at how responsive and concerned they are. This product deserves our support.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Amazing app. Amazing that I find nothing here yet. The network robustness is amazing. i use a laptop and go through several wired and wireless networks daily. Once a drive is mounted it stays mounted. Amazing. Ye, MacFusion is free but not as efficient nor as slick. Developers are super responsive, too.
Excellent!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I haven't been using it long but this is exactly what I want! I can now easily manipulate scripts and upload images and backups on my remote via SFTP without firing up Cyberduck or Fugu (both of which tend to crash with huge directory transfers). I know MacFUSE has had this plug in for a while but it is nice to see an easy to use GUI. Thanks!
